What should I expect from my first visit?

Your first visit will be a comprehensive evaluation. Your therapist will address your symptoms, as well as establish and design a treatment plan most suitable to meet your goals. At the same time, each treatment will be explained in detail, so you fully understand what each treatment is accomplishing.


What should I expect from therapy?

We want your therapy experience to be an enjoyable and productive one. All treatments are custom designed to fit with your medical conditions and fitness level. Your therapist will use a combination of manual therapy and exercise equipment in our state-of-the-art gym. We are always exploring cutting edge technology and treatments to enhance your experience.


Does therapy provide immediate results?

Some patients feel relief after the first visit; most patients will begin to feel the benefit of their Physical or Occupational Therapy after several visits. Many times following your initial evaluation you may experience increase pain or a level of discomfort. This is to be expected as the healing and treatment process begins. as always. speak to your therapist and doctor with any concerns.


How often do I come to therapy and how long are my sessions?

Patients typically come to Physical and/or Occupational therapy 2-3 times a week for 4-8 weeks depending on your prescription and therapist recommendation. Length of treatment does vary for each patient based on your diagnosis and fitness level. Your initial evaluation and follow up visits are approximately an hour long.


Will I be seeing the same therapist throughout my treatment?

First Rehab prides itself on providing quality care. To achieve this, you will see the same therapist at each visit, except for special situations such as scheduling conflicts and certain diagnostic requirements. Continuity of care is an essential component for any therapy program.


How will my physician follow my progress?

Documentation after your initial evaluation and prior to your follow up visits are sent to your physician for review. We keep your physician well informed of your progress throughout your entire treatment.
